I'm an illustrator, mainly known for children's books, but I'm also quite prolific in other areas. My work often involves creating strong, appealing characters, with a distinct element of humour. My greatest love is drawing animals and nature, and living in the heart of Somerset there is no shortage of inspiration.
My clients have included, Hodder, Random House, Penguin, Oxford University Press, Scholastic, The Art Group, The Herschel Museum in Bath, Piccadilly Press, ABC and Marks and Spencer. The books I have illustrated have often featured on CBeebies bedtime stories, and have been read by, among others, Patrick Stewart, Terry Wogan and Floella Benjamin.
I've been fortunate enough to have been shortlisted for the Sheffield Children's Book Award twice, the first time for "Who's Poorly Too" (my first book!), written by multi award winning author Kes Gray.
I have worked on children's wallpaper and textile designs which have been sold around the world, and illustrations for theatre posters, greetings cards and museums. I've even designed a range of cuddly toys!
